Hunter Shanks
Photographer/Writer
My name is Hunter Shanks. I am an aspiring photographer with a love for neon colors and moody atmospheres. My main interests in photography are currently geared towards nightlife photography, but I also dabble in portraits, landscapes, and conceptual photography as well among other things.
I graduated from North High School in 2017 and have been doing photography since the spring of 2019. Along with photography, I also enjoy writing short stories, making stuff out of resin, and making occasional podcasts. |

I like to work within a select few styles.
The first one being images that are moody yet colorful where I like to mix low light style images with vibrant colors that give off a neon 80s feel. Another aesthetic I like to run with is an "After Hours" theme of images that are taken of busy areas during the quieter hours of the night. This is a time that I am personally more comfortable/at peace with due to my anxiety. The last aesthetic that I like to dabble in is landscape photography. Similar to the "After Hours" stuff that I do, the quiet nature/small town areas that I visit I view as more peaceful. One thing that is important with me is being able to travel to new places. I hope to create a lifestyle that allows me to travel with my friends, work for myself, and take on more conceptual ideas. Outside of these 3 main styles I also like to experiment with other things as well as, but not limited to: doing things with color, character style portraits, etc. |
